First Annual Elmhurst Suitcase Party - A Night of Chance, Charity & Cocktails Feeling lucky? Sign yourself and a partner up and come to the bar with an overnight bag. One lucky pair will be declared the winner and immediately escorted out of the party into an all expense paid evening downtown Chicago. Enjoy fine dining and a (kid-free) hotel room at the Peninsula. Wake up refreshed and head to the spa for a massage...you deserve it. All remaining contestants will have a 3 hour drink package to drown your sorrows away. A DJ will help keep the party going. Food can be ordered but is not part of the package. For those with childcare concerns, the winner will be declared by 8:00. If you end up the lucky winner you just need a sitter who can spend the night. All proceeds will be benefiting the Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network (EWAN) Since 1997, the Elmhurst Walk-in Assistance Network has provided compassionate assistance to families in the Elmhurst community going through a difficult time. Sometimes families or individuals experience a job loss, a cutback in hours, divorce, disability, or other sudden, unforeseen circumstance that leave them unable to pay a bill. EWAN is a place they can come to for help while they get back on their feet. We serve Elmhurst residents, families with children in Elmhurst schools, or registered members of partnering Elmhurst churches.
