Description
Historic Rehabilitation: The Old Post Office The Society of Architectural Historians will honor the team behind one of Chicago’s most ambitious projects, the historic rehabilitation of the long-vacant, 2.8 million-square-foot Post Office, which has been brought back to life as a hub for business and commerce. Support of SAH Celebrates (formerly the SAH Awards Gala) provides funding for SAH's educational programs and publications such as SAH Archipedia, an open-access encyclopedia of the built environment of the United States, and the award-winning Buildings of the United States book series. Proceeds also help support the restoration of the Charnley-Persky House (1891–92), designed by Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright, which serves as SAH’s international headquarters in Chicago. The health and safety of our guests is our highest priority. All guests will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and follow all local, state and governmental safety mandates to attend SAH Celebrates.
