A Workshop on the Immigration Stories of Filipino Americans with guest speaker Maria Alvarez Stroud, author of the book book, Brave Crossing. The book is the story of a young man’s dream of adventure and a different if not a better life in another country. This coming-of-age saga is told through the eyes of Ricardo, a young Spanish-Filipino, as he voyages to America in 1916.
