Free movie night in El Monte! A community altar will available to the public to place pictures of loved ones and honor lives lost. The event is from 6:00-9:00 pm and the movie screening will start at sundown (around 7 pm). Bring blankets, chairs, food and drinks, and warm clothes. We invite you to come with photos, small items, flowers, and offerings to add to the altar a short walk away from the movie screen. A small bag of popcorn will be provided at arrival with pre-registration! 6:00-7:00 pm: Altar/ ofrenda decorating 7:00-8:30 pm: Movie COVID-19 protocol and restrictions will be in place in accordance with Los Angeles County Department of Public Health guidelines. To ensure the safety of all participants, a face covering will be required at all times temperature checks will be conducted, & social distancing will be required. The El Monte Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families (The Partnership) is a collaboration of more than 20 individuals, public entities, and community-based agencies focused on school readiness for preschoolers, quality programs for children and youth when they are not in school, and positive youth development.
