6PM On November 26, 2011 A DIY Venue hosted its first event in Boardman, OH that was referred to as "The Former Backyards and Billiards". That show set off a decade of performances by over 150 acts. "The Backyards" as it was later shortened to, would only last 2 years but a couple years after its closure, Wickyards was born out of its ashes in March 2016 and have been going strong ever since. We feel over the past decade we have truly created a community amongst the hundreds of attendees, vendors, and acts that we helped bring together. For some these 2 venues have been the site of a performers live debut, special one of a kind show orchestrated from the top down, or simply a stop on the way for a touring act. At 6PM on November 27 2021, 10 years, 1 day and at the exact same time of the very first show, we will host our 10th anniversary concert, celebrating some of the greatest hits of the past decade, as we look toward the future with bright optimism reflecting on all the progress of the past 10 years. We hope you join us there. It wont be one to miss.
