Kingsway Inspections, Inc. is expanding and we have an immediate opening for a Termite Crew Carpenter. Kingsway Inspections is a state licensed structural pest control operator, specializing in dry rot and termite repair on homes that are for sale. Most work is in Contra Costa County along Hwy 24, with some locations requiring driving to adjacent communities. We place a high value on honesty and quality workmanship. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience in residential construction or termite/dry rot repair and basic construction knowledge and abilities. You will need excellent personal references (we contact each reference) and the ability and willingness to learn new skills. Pay is based on your experience and ability. Minimum Requirements: 2 years full time experience in various aspects of residential construction, remodeling or building repair, including framing, siding, floor covering, roofing, painting and tile. Clean, professional personal appearance High school diploma or equivalent Satisfactory DMV record and a valid driver's license Reliable work truck (registered and insured), tools, and a mobile phone Pass a drug screening and background check Be able to occasionally safely use a respirator (for occasional subarea work) No physical conditions that would prevent you from being able to adequately performing work tasks Fluent in English You will be working alongside others on your crew doing demo, material purchasing, and reinstallation. You will report directly to your crew supervisor. We provide additional training in safe construction practices, as well as opportunities to advance to more senior construction or licensed inspector roles. The typical workday includes driving to customer's site and doing basic construction repairs generally entailing replacing dry-rot damaged wood siding, trim, roof eaves, wall framing, painting, or floor framing. Work is mostly on exterior of homes and may require lifting 50 lbs., and using a variety of hand tools and power tools, ladders, and sometimes scaffolding.
