Description
The past few years have offered unforeseen challenges. For many, this meant the inability to meet basic needs - rent, utilities, food, and medical care – let alone the personal care needs that are so vital to well-being. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, HOPEsudbury was ready to help. * The HOPE Fund (administered through Sudbury's Town Social worker) provided financial assistance to more than 60 Sudbury households ($80,000+), * We collected and distributed gift cards to ease daily burdens, * Initiated community-oriented events (Fishing Derby & Dash for HOPE), * Held drives for various community groups (such as the Food Pantry & Care Pantry), and acquired Sudbury's annual Holiday Gift Drive to support residents in need. Despite the challenges, however, the Power of Community shone brightly. Sudbury came together to support both businesses and individuals during the tough times: residents organized gift card drives, held creative fundraising initiatives, and overall, gave a little extra of themselves to help. To quote Desmond Tutu, "Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness." HOPEsudbury is honored to be part of a community that showed such light during the dark days and we HOPE you'll join us in working to support those in need. As the need in Sudbury continues to rise for families and individuals, HOPEsudbury's work is more vital than ever. Your gift allows us to cover critical bills for families; funds are paid directly to vendors, so the relief is often immediate. $600 supports an individual request and $1200 supports a family, but every gift, no matter the size, impacts your neighbors along with our greater community. Please consider a donation and become a part of The Power of Community. DONATE ONLINE HERE: https://www.hopesudbury.org/do...
