Here are the top stories today in Madison: Former State Supreme Court Justice, Michael Gableman, is leading an investigation on the 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin that experts are calling "bizarre." Coming in at nearly $700,000, the tax-payer funded investigation has yet to spur any evidence and elections experts say its being haphazardly conducted and reducing people's confidence in elections. (The Cap Times) Madison East High School students held a second walkout yesterday to demand that Madison Metropolitan School District improve its district policies regarding sexual assault and harassment, as well as provide more support for survivors. The organizers provided a list of four demands including: (1) Education and training for staff and students on sexual assault and harassment and the reporting policy; (2) Clear protocols for every student on how to report incidents both on and off of district property; (3) Sanctions for perpetrators of sexual assault on or off campus from suspension to expulsion; and (4) A commitment by the school and the district to support victims. (Wisconsin State Journal)Yesterday, hundreds of people waited in long lines at Culver's to try to get their hands on the one-day-only CurderBurger — the infamous cheese curd topped burger. Many locations said they sold out under two hours. (Channel3000) "The Velvet Underground" is a documentary using archival footage and art films to create a film "that's true to the countercultural spirit of the band," according to the review, Ian Adcock. The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art is screening the documentary on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. as part of the museum's Spotlight Cinema series.
