Looking for a puppy or younger dog

Hi, We are looking for another dog to join our family. We do have a 2yr old male dog who still loves to play a lot. We are looking for either a puppy or a younger dog just so we know they'll get along. I have been trying shelters and rescues. Literally every dog I have really liked and put in an application for ends up pending or already adopted. Which is great but I'm just getting a discouraged. Looking to spend around $400 or less but maybe a little more depending on the dog. Looking for a medium sized. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
