PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A 60-year-old man who was struck by a car in Triangle last month has died, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The man was identified as William Francis Fisher, a Dumfries resident.
Authorities are still looking for the vehicle that struck Fisher on Sept. 30 in Triangle. The driver of a red or maroon vehicle fled the scene after hitting Fisher, police said.
After Fisher's death, officials conducted an autopsy. The autopsy confirmed that Fisher died as a result of injuries suffered when he was struck.

After their initial investigation, officers determined that Fisher was walking in a dimly-lit section of the roadway. Then, he was a hit by a maroon-colored vehicle, police said.
Fisher fell to the ground in the eastbound lane of the road, according to the police report. Another motorist found him and contacted police. Fisher was flown to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his life-threatening injuries.
