Description
Press release from the Village of Palatine:
October 15, 2021
The Palatine Board of Health is hosting a Community Blood Drive on Thursday, October 21 from Noon to 6 PM at the Palatine Village Hall, 200 E. Wood Street, in Community Room B. The blood drive will be conducted by Vitalant. Each year, nearly 5 million Americans need blood transfusions. Blood helps trauma and burn patients, premature infants, heart surgery patients, organ transplant recipients and those fighting cancer, among others.
Donating blood is one of the easiest ways to give back to your community. If you've never donated blood before, we encourage you to try! The donation itself takes approximately 10-15 minutes, and the entire process from registration to post-donation takes about one hour. For more information about the donation process, or to schedule an appointment, please contact Vitalant at (877) 258-4825 or visit vitalant.org and use group code: A103.
Appointments Recommended. Walk-ins are always welcome. Masks Required.
