Black-Brown Cat Sighted in Northampton Bike Path near Main St.

Came across a very friendly and pretty cat on the Bike Path in Northampton today (Saturday, Oct. 16th) around 4-5pm near the Fitzwilly's/A2Z Science parking lots, past the bridge that hangs over Main St./Bridge St. (aside King St.) and beside the train tracks. The cat had a bell collar with no name/contact tag. Black-brown silky fur, shorthair, this cat was so sweet it let us pick it up and pet it. Looked healthy and fur in such nice condition, doesn't seem like a stray, and seemed calm and comfortable in the area. We couldn't tell whether or not this was a lost cat so we left it be, but it really didn't look/act like the strays around here usually do, looked well taken care of, so I hope this information helps if it's someone's cat that recently escaped.
