It is a shame what has happened to CL politics and R&R the last few years. Post that don't get auto flagged, get flagged by a few people who hate free speech on a private web site that used to be for everyone. I was watching cspan today and saw Nikki Haley giving a speech that went on for quite a while. In 2017 Niki and Rex were the only 2 Trump appointees I liked. We all saw how Tillerson got railroaded for trying to do his SOS job as well as possible. Something we have not seen at our State Department in years. Nikki did alright as our UN ambassador, but it was obvious 3 years ago she wanted to distance herself from Trump and his policies. Too bad she did not try and stand up to him like Rex did. Nikki's speech today started out well, and I give her credit for carefully choosing her words to almost tell the truth, but not offend Trump supporters. We all know they are easily offended by the truth, they dispute. We all know last June of 2020 several Red state SOS's with the backing of their governors expanded absentee voting, mostly due to a pandemic. Because they knew inspite of what Trump said, the pandemic was a big health care deal. We all know by August of 2020 Trump was telling his supporters "don't vote by mail, it will be full of fraud." (see note 1) We know Georgia sent out 1.7 million absentee ballots in 2020 for the primary election. That is well documented. We know 1.3 million of those ballots were returned. That is well documented. Trump lost Georgia by 11,780 votes. Too bad his supporters can't figure out the math. Oh, my point is I think Nikki is an attractive intelligent woman, who could retire tomorrow, but for some reason she wants power. Right after Nikki's speech went off, cspan showed Lindsey Graham's appearance at a Texas fund raiser where he actually greased up his head, and inserted up Trumps rectum. Sure for all the republican problems, you can argue democrats have their own serious problems. But how many of you are going to vote for a democrat. This all falls under clean up your back yard, before you complain about your neighbors. Note 1: In October of 2020 President Trump voted by mail in the state of Florida.
