About Us: We are a small farm offering citrus and fresh eggs to our customers. In the off season of citrus, we build chicken coops and backyard structures. This is a dynamic role that's never dull that requires someone who loves the outdoors and has an attention to detail. They have a diversity of task from plant/tree care, animal care, to maintenance and building structures. We're seeking an all around Farm Helper Handyman who can help with animals, for couple hours of the day. Animals include dogs, cats, chickens. Some days are yard and tree care, and some days are designated for fixing internal structures, or building structures for customers. The ideal applicant will work as independent contractor. Farm Animal Care: The animal routine is at least couple hours a day. Morning and evening feeding. The morning feeding is at least 2 hours a day. Individual must love animals and has familiarity with caring for them. Tasks is feeding, cleaning their areas, and sometimes giving them their medication. Building and Handyman Work: They will be given directions on the carpentry work that's needed for projects, and their tasks involve preparing, cutting and assembling structures. Must be able to read detailed directions Farm Handyman Work: Other work around the farm include tree care, sprinklers maintenance and light outdoor plumbing repair like broken pvc pipes etc. You must have a valid driver's license. Absolutely no drugs or alcohol. Recommended Tools & Equipment: • Full size pick up truck or larger; • 16-20ft tandem axle trailer or larger; • standard carpentry/framer tools; • smart phone.
