Meet Honeybear, My Dream Dog

Description

Behold Honeybear, the sweetest and most loving dog I've ever had. She's protective (great guard dog, but not an excessive barker) and fantastic with children. She's a major couch potato yet loves to hike, take trips outdoors, and adores cuddling (for about 5 minutes, then really likes her space-- right next to you!). Half German Shepard, half Black Lab.  I rescued her 6 years ago (I think she's about 9 years old) and she has been a faithful companion ever since. Unfortunately, my new husband has Tinnitus, a hearing condition that makes it extremely painful for him whenever Honeybear barks. We cannot risk his health any longer by keeping Honeybear, and it is perhaps one of the saddest realizations of my life.  If you are interested in having the best dog you've ever had by adopting Honeybear, please provide the following:  1. Housing situation  2. Family life  3. 1 personal and 1 professional reference  *DO NOT respond if you do not respect dogs or believe they are lesser animals than humans.  *DO NOT respond if you do not have a backyard. *DO NOT respond if you're unable to take Honeybear on regular walks or provide her proper nutrition and daily attention.  This may seem excessive, I understand. But the right person/family who is willing to provide this info (so I can make sure HB is going to a loving, stable home) will be gifted with the treasure of a lifetime.  Pardon this emotionally wrought post, this is obviously hard for me and I can't belabor the point enough. This dog is an emotionally intelligent queen who will love you forever, and I will not consider any offers that appear to lack an understanding of this.  Thank you for your interest and your time.
