Large dog house built for outdoor location such as a covered patio not subject to rain. House was built for two Siberian Huskies (since passed) who were outdoor dogs but not happy with hot summer days. The house measures 8 ft. W x 40 ins. H x 44 ins. D. Base is constructed of pressure treated 2 x 4 frame with tile covered 3/4” plywood floor. Tile is covered with indoor/outdoor carpet. House frame is 2 x 2 on 12 in centers. Walls and hinged top are insulated with faced foam. Framing is screwed together rather than nailed with metal L brackets at top and bottom for added strength. Sanded and stained plywood panels are used for external covering. Hinged top has angle iron supports for strength and sits on gasketed surface. Frigidaire A/C is rated at 5,000 BTU and externally supported with stand. Estimated weight is 500 lbs. I have dollies and can roll out to driveway. The top can be removed to lessen weight for lifting into pickup or pulling onto a trailer.
