As to the cops… POLICE THREATEN TO WALK OFF? LET THEM! It is a threat no different than if it was from a mob boss. Sounds like republican policy: our way or the highway. I say call that bluff. Several cities and counties across the country are refusing to enforce their mandate to be vaccinated due to fear of loss of employees. The refusing officers must be fired and their supervisors who refuse to enforce vaccinations must be fired too! How many police have died from Covid, yet they refuse to adopt Public Health policy and get vaccinated. If you are in Public Service you must believe in science and equality across all races. There’s no room for Alternative Facts. There is a deeper problem here. The unvaccinated dying officers are part of the resistance to science and the same ones embracing white supremacy. They are the “me first, last and always” bunch, that believe they are entitled to exempt themselves from performing acts of “public good”, like wearing a mask and getting vaccinated. These are the ones with whom we entrust with Transactional Immunity. These are the ones who shouldn’t have been cops to begin with. Many of these cops have come directly from the military, where we find a similar percentage about to find themselves out of the service for refusing to follow orders. There is a smoldering ember of the past that still hasn’t been extinguished, instead it has been nurtured. White Supremacy has NO PLACE IN OUR MILITARY OR OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT! The Military and its equipment does not belong in our citizen police forces. IT IS TIME TO REORGANIZE THE LAW ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM IN TOTAL! THE EMPHASIS MUST BE ON CITIZEN OVERSIGHT & ABSOLUTE ACCOUNTABILITY. No police officer ever gets a pass under Transactional Immunity for killing a citizen. Any shooting that involves a death must be thoroughly investigated by an agency or board NOT associated with the enforcement agency responsible for the shooting. Too many LEOs have a power complex and believe they get privileges they are not entitled to, just because they’re cops. You’ve seen it, you know you have. Do you get a pass if you get stopped for dui, speeding or other traffic infractions? Do your supervisors cover up for your domestic violence episodes? Do you get discounts on meals or free coffee? No, but some cops do! Why should you get anything extra for doing what your job description describes? I’m support the complete and total re-organization of the Law Enforcement System to become the Citizen Protection Service. The first thing that should happen when a Service Officer arrives on-scene is to help, not to intimidate or look for reasons to arrest everyone there. No replies from children.
