Please join AIA Milwaukee for a tour of the Historic Pabst Man This event is intended for AIA members and design/construction professionals. Please join AIA Milwaukee for a tour of the Historic Pabst Mansion. It is a one of a kind facility that has remained unchanged in an ever changing landscape. Prior to the 5:30 tour, we will congregate on the front veranda to hear about the house. Included in the tour are two Pabst Blue Ribbon beers for each attendee prior to the tour! Learning Objectives: Learn about the historical & architectural significance of the Pabst Mansion and surrounding community. Comprehend how local, state and federal level preservation can mold or restrict a preservation project. Identify the do's and dont's in preservation.Understand the current restoration project lead by Strang Inc. & the project specific restoration goals for the mansion.Identify what strategies are being implemented present day & the long-range plan to preserve the structure into the future.Presenters:  Gary Strothman - Pabst, Director of Guest ExperienceKevin Donahue AIA, NCARB - Senior Project Architect - Strang Inc.Meet at the veranda in front of the house at 5:00pm for introductions prior to the 5:30 tour.
