Pain d'Avignon is a small business with a serious passion for the craft of bread and pastry making, and for the enjoyment of eating them. We produce fresh breads and pastries daily from our commissary in Long Island City for our wholesale clients, as well as our retail locations located throughout the city. We are currently seeking drivers to join our team! Please review the list of responsibilities. If you believe you will be a match then we want to hear from you! Pay: From $17.00 per hour, based on experience. Candidates must have: A clean NYS License - NO CDL required. Strong work ethics Be responsible, and reliable - Shift starts between 2am to 3am, Saturday & Sunday availability a must. We provide: -Benefits ( health, vision, dental, 401k) -Paid vacation time after 1 year of employment. -Stability -Future growth Role and Responsibilities • Drive van to transport materials to and from specified destinations. • Obey traffic laws and follow all applicable State and federal regulations. • Turn in receipts/ invoices and money received from deliveries. • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions. • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. • Load and unload delivery vans. • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, in accordance with regulations. • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition. Unsafe vehicles should not be driven until the condition is corrected. • Present bills, receipts and collect payments for goods delivered. • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles. • Proper use of time management to ensure on timely deliveries. • Receive radio or telephone contact from the supervisor to receive a clear instruction. • Always in uniform. • Provide overall excellent customer service. Working Environment • Able to sit in van for up to 12 hours. • May work early mornings, holidays and weekends. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour
