Description

Presented by: Peer Mentor, Kylie McLaughlin, Doctor of Pharmacy, '25, and Peer Mentor, Abena Agyei, Doctor of Pharmacy,'25 The Pomodoro Study Method is a time management approach that involves using a timer to time short, concentrated work sessions, typically 25 minutes long. When the timer goes off, you take a 5-minute rest before resetting the timer and continuing the cycle.I found out about this study strategy my second year of school and I started implementing it into my regular study routine. As health care students, a lot of the studying we do surrounds memorization. I found that this technique helped me remember things and not get burn out which was a big problem for me in Freshman year. I hope I can pass it on to more people and save them stress when it comes to studying large quantities. STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES Students who attend will be able to effectively implement the Pomodoro technique in their studying habits Students who attend will be able to understand why the Pomodoro technique works, especially for medical/healthcare students Students who attend will be able to create their own Pomodoro based on their study preferences with the tools gone over in the workshop  Presented by the Center for Academic Success and Enrichment Join CASE Peer Mentors and Academic Coaches LIVE to discuss important topics related to YOUR academic success!
