We are excited to introduce you to Quisqueya Latin Cuisine - a restaurant specializing in dishes from the Dominican Republic!
Culture.CLE is a monthly dinner series that helps Clevelanders experience cultures and cuisines from around the world.
Every month, we visit a new country through a fun ethnic dinner series centered around highlighting local immigrant and refugee-owned culinary businesses. Follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter to learn where we're visiting next!
This November, we visit a local Dominican gem called Quisqueya Latin Cuisine, named after Quisqueya (or Kiskeya) which is one of the names of Hispaniola Island believed to mean "mother of all lands" in the Taíno language. Their menu is derived from its owners roots with authentic dishes from the Dominican Republic.
Tickets will include:
- Dinner served on individual plates (you will get to order your choice of 1 protein - stewed beef, stewed chicken or a fried pork chop with either a side of white rice + pinto beans or yellow rice + pigeon peas.)
- A tasting of two national drinks: Morir Soñando and Parcha/Chinola
- A cooking demonstration of an empanadilla!
- Conversation and Q & A with the owner and chef
- Access to a full bar and soft drinks menu (available for purchase)
- Access to full menu of desserts and appetizers (available for purchase)
Proceeds from this event go to benefit Cleveland Global Shapers.
Enjoy ethnic eats and a unique cultural lesson while supporting local, minority-owned businesses.
