Ready, Set, Go! is a one-day workshop to help college students better focus themselves to start a career as a creative professional. Our Ready, Set, Go! workshop will explore how college students can professionally present themselves, activate an internship, start working after graduation as a creative professional. We have a wonderful day planned: • An overview of musts for you to be recognized: website, resume, social media, internships, etc. • A panel of industry veterans, as well as recent graduates, will share their experiences on the ups and downs of a career in a commercial creative field. • Interactive exercises to help your creativity and collaboration skills. • Portfolio reviews to help strengthen your first impressions. We are excited to partner with Paier College at their new campus in Bridgeport! Check-in: 9 a.m. on-site registration, coffee and healthy nibbles. Be sure to have breakfast before you arrive or bring snacks to power-up your energy. A light lunch will be served midday. Parking is free in the lot behind the building. Within the CADC, you’ll find a diverse community of professional talent, including art directors, designers, new media developers, copywriters, public relations professionals, illustrators, photographers and others associated with visual communications.
