Address: Raleigh Court Library, 2112 Grandin Road SW, Roanoke, VA 24015 This presentation takes you through the reasons for evaluations for special education services, timelines that are in place, and the all-important Eligibility meeting. It also covers the steps of a re-evaluation and the parental right to an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE). The Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) is a statewide non-profit organization that strives to empower students and self-advocates to create positive futures for Virginia's children by working collaboratively with families, schools and communities in order to improve opportunities for excellence in education and success in school and community life. Our special focus is children with disabilities.
