The Sacramento Office of Arts + Culture, in partnership with fellow community members, has commissioned local artists to create a community-based mural for the walls bordering the west and east sides of the community garden at Common Ground Church. A community mural project allows an artist to collaborate with a community to achieve a result neither the artist nor the community could have achieved on their own. Community Mural - Artists will coordinate to paint the design paint-by-number style. (No experience is needed) Art Show - Jackie Wada a local artist (@wadaart) will be hosting a art show and youth art wall with local young artist. Connect - Enjoy fun activities for the whole family and connect with new people in your local community Engage - Learn about new ways to engage in local non-profits and community empowerment opportunities. Matthew Goodwin Celebration of Life Art Scholarship is celebrating their one year anniversary of the scholarship. Sacramento youth center will have a pop-up youth center. Peer Mentors Mental Health awareness booth. Support - Come curious to explore local businesses, try new food and coffee served by youth workers. Common Ground youth Cafe will be open with espresso drinks for sale. Local businesses and pop-up vendors.
