Soon after he contacted the local Club in Lansing, Michigan. He immediately uncovered the benefits that carried over into other competitive sports he participated in (track, football, and wrestling). With overall increased strength, improved technique, and mental endurance learned from weightlifting, Jose has been a competitive athlete for over 18 years. After moving to Dallas, Texas in 2010, Jose joined a local Weightlifting club which soon began to attract a majority of CrossFit athletes. It was at this time that he was exposed to the welcoming community of CrossFit that allowed Jose to express his love for Olympic Weightlifting and coaching to a greater number of athletes than ever before. Jose’s goal is to continue to be competitive while helping those around him improve their overall performance no matter their experience or goals.
