Volunteers needed for the Arts and Crafts Booth at the Northgate Día De Los Muertos Festival Saturday, October 30, 2021. The Natomas Garden & Arts Coalition (formerly Garden & Arts Club) will be hosting the arts & crafts booth at the Northgate Día de los Muertos Festival. This event is sponsored by the Gardenland Northgate Neighborhood Association, the City of Sacramento, District #3 Councilman Jeff Harris, and the Natomas Garden & Arts Coalition. We will bring all the supplies and show you how to make these fun and easy crafts so you can share them with the community! We will be making papel picado, katrina/katrino skull masks, and easy beading. We are seeking four or five volunteers for the first shift (11:30-2:30) and four or five volunteers for the second shift (2:30-5:30). The Natomas Garden & Arts Club became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2018. We have recently changed the name to The Natomas Garden & Arts Coalition to better reflect who we are and what we do. Our group networks with local individuals and associations who share our mission and values to strengthen and enliven our community. We use the strength of our coalition to accomplish common goals; this cooperative aspect is a big part of who we are and the role we play in the community. We are currently working with the City of Sacramento to open a Community Art & Garden Center and Gallery in South Natomas to house the educational and cultural programs we will provide.
