Fire for the Bayou is a live fire dinner benefiting the Tribal community of Pointe-au-Chien to help rebuild after Hurricane Ida
Fire for the Bayou will be a ticketed live fire cooking dinner benefiting the Tribal community of Pointe-au-Chien(PACIT), which has been severely impacted by Hurricane Ida.
Chefs Marcus Jacobs (Marjie's Grill, Seafood Sally's), Joaquin Rodas (Bacchanal), and Hank Shackelford (Galaxie) will be roasting a pig, whole goats, Springer Mountain chickens, Gulf oysters, and regionally sourced vegetables over live fire in a makeshift pit. Louisiana rice, Oaxacan black beans and Mawi corn tortillas will come with all plates.
Louis Michot's Melody Makers will supply the bayou vibes with two sets of live music!
Galaxie will serve barrel-aged Mezcal Negronis and Margaritas, in addition to wines and beers. All beverages are included with ticket purchase.
There will be an awesome silent auction including plants from Breathing Waters Nursery, Ninth Ward Nursery and We Bite Rare & Unusual Plants, as well as a custom cake by Bayou Saint Cake. And a few additional surprises.
Net proceeds from the event will go directly to PACIT and will be 100% tax deductible through their 501(c)(3).
If you are unable to attend but would like to donate to support the PAC Tribe, please donate directly to https://www.paypal.com/fundraiser/charity/1680316 with the note "Fire For The Bayou". All direct donations are also 100% tax deductible .
