The Ubora Awards is a star-studded evening honoring excellence, in the greater Charleston, black-owned business community. The Ubora Awards applauds the impact of 12 remarkable African American entrepreneurs, small business owners, and community leaders from Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties. This star-studded evening will be hosted by DJ Chuck T and Tessa Spencer. The night will include an exclusive VIP Champagne and Red Carpet experience, and we will be inspired and empowered by world-renowned motivational speaker Dr. Eric Thomas aka ET the Hip Hop Preacher. Throughout the night there will be musical tributes from national recording artist Y'anna Crawley, Benita Washington , and several local recording artists. Kharis Connect for the past year has diligently sought to elevate the visibility of black-owned businesses in the Lowcountry and The Ubora Awards is an annual gathering that will feature excellence of any kind by African American business owners and entrepreneurs in the Lowcountry.
