Purple Globes is an award ceremony hosted by the National Council of Negro Women. This award ceremony is set to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of those throughout the University of South Florida's community. The National Council of Negro Women Inc. (NCNW) was established in 1935 by Mary McLeod Bethune with the mission of addressing issues of human welfare and rights through public education, community service and advocacy for women. Here, at the University of South Florida, with over 100 members in our chapter alone, we work every day to propel the vision of our founder.
