Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the operations and maintenance of Port facilities. Duties will relate to maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical equipment, attending training drills and exercises relating to hazardous materials and security operations, janitorial, limited landscaping, and other similar duties as assigned by the Field Operations Manager. Responsibilities Trees…You may be required to plant, water and trim trees, dig, clean up and haul debris Streets…You may be required to work in the roadway, dig, perform traffic control, paint curbs, clean storm drain inlets, clean, sweep and haul debris Facilities…You may be required climb ladders, change light bulbs and ballasts, clean roof gutters, paint, sweep, clean sidewalks and/or clear clogged drains Parks…You may be required to plant and water lawns, shrubs and trees, mow, edge and fertilize lawns, dig, repair irrigation lines, clear drains, pick up and haul debris This position is temporary in nature that may lead to permanent employment with the right skill set and qualifications, however there is no guarantee for permanent employment. All applicants will need to pass a rigorous background check and posses all credentials to work in the United States. Applicants will foster positive and effective working relationships and must be able understand and follow instructions. Per policy, all employees must show proof of vaccination. The Port provides all necessary PPE to perform the job duties successfully as well as complies with all mandates for social distancing and other requirements.
