Press release from the Town of Dedham: 10/15/2021 9:08 AM The Board reports that as of Thursday, October 14th, there have been 2,758 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Town. This is an increase of 31 cases from last week's update. Currently, there are 36 active confirmed cases. Public Flu Clinic: Saturday, October 16th 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Dedham Middle School There will be a public flu clinic for residents on Saturday, October 16th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Dedham Middle School (70 Whiting Ave). Online pre-registration is required. Please register online here. The clinic is open to residents 5 years and older, with or without insurance. Masks are required for individuals 2 years and older, unless medically exempt. COVID-19 Vaccine The Board encourages anyone who is eligible and unvaccinated to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone 12 years and older is eligible for the vaccine. The vaccine is safe, free, and effective. Getting vaccinated will help Dedham get back to normal. Chickens in Dedham The Board would like to remind residents that anyone keeping chickens in Dedham must receive a permit. A Domestic Animals Permit Application must be submitted to the Health Department for review. The application process includes the submission of chicken coop plans, coop set-back requirements, abutter notifications, and more. Please be aware, roosters are not allowed in Dedham. Please contact the Health Department at (781) 751-9220 to learn more. Board of Health Permits The Board of Health issues the following permits to residents and businesses. If you are interested in applying for one of these permits, or you would like to learn more, please visit the Health Department's website or call the Health Department at (781) 751-9220. Food establishments (restaurants, one-day food events, catering, farmers markets, and retail stores) Pools (public and semi-public) Tobacco retailers Recreational camps for children Dumpsters Waste haulers and septic system installers Title 5 septic systems Tanning facilities Wells Domestic animals (including chickens) Cryogenic chamber therapy establishments Saunas & steam rooms Stay safe and be kind!
