LAWRENCE, MA — A homicide investigation is underway after an adult man died in Lawrence Friday morning, officials said. At 9:44 a.m., Lawrence police were sent to a reported assault and battery in progress on Broadway. The man was taken to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Lawrence and state police and the Essex District Attorney's Office are investigating the case. No other information is currently available.
