BAY SHORE, NY — A 24-year-old man died after being stabbed in a fight in Bay Shore Friday morning, Suffolk County Police said. Third Precinct police officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Walbridge Avenue at 12:05 a.m. The victim, Anthony Gilbert, was stabbed during a fight in the street, police said. Gilbert, 24, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the stabbing to contact the homicide squad at 631-852-6392 or by calling Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.
