Annapolis Police Identify Shooting Victim As Baltimore Man

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis police on Friday identified the victim of this week's homicide as 23-year-old Cornell Young of Baltimore. Officers announced that he died at an unnamed hospital after he was shot downtown around 1 p.m. Thursday. Subscribe to your local Patch newsletter. The initial call on the police scanner alleged that the fatal shooting happened in the rear of the Graduate Annapolis hotel, located at 126 West Street. Officers later confirmed that the shooting occurred in the unit block of Pleasant Street, which dead-ends at a parking lot behind the hotel. The map below shows the area around the scene: Detectives said they are investigating the case as a homicide, but they did not name any suspects. The Annapolis Police Department offered a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest or an indictment. Investigators asked anybody with details to call 410-260-3439.
