San Diego public health officials reported 568 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 deaths Thursday.
That raises the county's case total to 363,169 since the pandemic began in early 2020. The death toll climbed to 4,151.
In addition, 25 more patients needed to be admitted to hospitals for COVID treatment. Two more required intensive care.
County officials also reported 29,302 new COVID tests, with the percentage of positives over the last seven days at 2.8%.
Meanwhile, vaccination rates against COVID-19 in the U.S. have risen by more than 20 percentage points after multiple institutions adopted vaccine requirements in recent months. As a result, case numbers and deaths from the virus are down, White House officials said Wednesday.
Nationally, though, 66 million people have yet to be fully vaccinated.
The county said Thursday that San Diego has one of the highest full vaccination rates in the country, at 80%.
