Description
FREEHOLD, NJ — Freehold is conducting a fire hydrant flushing next Tuesday starting at 8 a.m.
As the flushing is performed, residents may see discoloration in their water. This is caused naturally by minerals and sediments and is not harmful.
Your water will clear up if you allow it to tun for a few minutes after crews leave your area.
Flushing is done twice a year to remove sediment that may accumulate in the distribution system. The point is to ensure each hydrant works efficiently.
