The music of the Grateful Dead is at its height of popularity. Bands like Dead and Co, Phil and Friends, Billy and the Kids, JRAD, DSO and Billy Strings are playing on a national level. There are hundreds of local Dead tribute bands across the country and quite a few in the Charlotte area. My bet is that there are other players in the Charlotte musical community who love the music but don’t get a chance to play it with others. If you are one of those players who would like to meet others to let there be songs to fill the air, let me know. All playing levels are welcome. Just a love of the Dead. Based on the responses, I will set up a jam somewhere. Perhaps a monthly open mic would be possible like the one that was at the Vinyl Pi before it closed.
