Description
The Village of Skokie is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Accounting Clerk, working in the Finance Dept. Enters ticket information into computer and compiles information for processing; Processes payments for parking tickets & balances daily receipts; Handles daily bank deposits and collects mail from drop-off box; Works at front counter performing customer service duties, including issuing vehicle stickers, and accepting payments for water bills and other debts owed the Village; Performs other duties as assigned.
HS Diploma or equivalent required; Minimum two years of general office/clerical experience required, preferably in Accounting/Finance disciplines; Must possess excellent organization skills, be proficient in general office procedures, and Microsoft Suite applications; Performs mathematical calculations of moderate difficulty, requiring accuracy and attention to detail; Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; Interaction with residents and the general public demands excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills; Must be able to speak and understand English; Bi-lingual skills helpful, but not required.
Hourly pay rate: $21.62 - $27.60, DOQ. This position works Monday – Friday; Work hours will not exceed 30 hours per week; This position is eligible for Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) pension benefits.
