The Denver Department of Public Health & Environment (DDPHE) is working to lower stigma for mental health. Stigma shames people for their mental health troubles. Stigma can stop people from getting the care and help they need. The Anti-Stigma Campaign Project wants to hear from the Denver community to better understand mental health stigma and how to lower it. DDPHE is working with Analytics and Insights Matter (AIM), and Arrow Performance Group (APG), to organize and conduct focus groups. We want to hear from Denver LGBTQ+ community members to better understand stigma and help people get the mental health care they need.
The focus groups will help us think of helpful messages and learn how stigma stops people from getting help. The focus groups are 90 minutes, virtual, and we are compensating with $15 gift cards for participation!
