Position Summary This position is responsible for driving a company vehicle to transport and deliver company products to customers and other company branches. Assisting in loading & unloading the truck is required. Reasonable Accommodations Statement To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Functions · Pull and organize customer orders for delivery from warehouse by part number and quantity as directed by picking ticket in priority assigned. · Load materials into vehicle and install bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Ensure that load is secure. · Follow company delivery routes to insure maximum efficiency of delivery run. · Check all load related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate. · Check vehicles before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. · Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. · Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. · Assist with shipping and receiving. Basic Qualification · Be highly organized and motivated. · Possess strong organizational skills · Ability to communicate and work well with a diverse group of individuals. Job Type: Full-time
