Description

OREGON CITY, OR —On Sept. 20, 2020. Wildfires were burning around Clackamas County forcing many people to be evacuated from their homes. Because of that, deputies were doing extra patrols, looking for possible burglaries in the evacuation zones. Around 2:15 p.m., they got a report of a couple of people acting suspiciously as they seemed to be walking onto a Ringo Rd. property by Mulino. Live in Oregon City? One of the people they found was 35-year-old Sandy Faye Lenox, who didn't have a home address. Investigating deputies found what they called "a trove" of stolen items including antique and collectible coins, a laptop, jewelry, gems, clothing, tools, a toaster oven, and a sewing machine. She was arrested and charged with multiple counts of burglary, attempted burglary, and theft. Lenox pleaded guilty last month and was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison.
