Description
BURR RIDGE, IL — A Burr Ridge resident called police earlier this month about a neighbor feeding geese for the last two or three years, according to a report. The resident apparently wanted it to stop.
The issue was in the 6800 block of Fieldstone Drive. The neighbor admitted to feeding the geese and believed he was protected by federal law in doing so, police said. An officer told the neighbor about the local ordinance against ground feeding of wildlife and warned him not to do it again.
A couple of years ago, a 76-year-old woman in the 7800 block of Forest Hill Road in Burr Ridge was cited twice on charges of ground feeding of coyotes. Several neighbors had complained to police. A ticket amounts to $25.
