AURORA, IL — The public is invited to join the Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora at Oak Street Restaurant on Sunday, where they will be fundraising to fight diabetes while watching the Chicago Bears take on the Green Bay Packers.
The fundraiser will take place in the banquet room of the restaurant, located at 945 Oak Street in North Aurora.
It will begin at 11:30 a.m. and run the duration of the game, Russ George, president of the Cosmopolitan Club of Aurora, said in a news release. Parking and admission are free and kickoff is at noon.
Bears and Packers jerseys will be raffled off, George said. Free door prize drawings, gift basket raffles and a 50/50 cash raffle will also be offered.
Proceeds will benefit diabetes research at Aurora's Rush-Copley Medical Center as well as diabetes education for uninsured diabetics.

It was founded in 1927 and meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at Oak Street Restaurant. Prospective members are welcome to attend a meeting.
