The Waterproofing and Air Barrier Installer is responsible for installing spray applied and sheet applied air barrier systems on new and existing commercial and residential buildings to the required specifications designated by the material manufacturer. Must work and communicate with a team to complete each job effectively and safely. Other duties include: Responsible and accountable for working with team members to complete air barrier installation jobs and other necessary work as directed by the Air Barrier Supervisor. Responsible for ensuring that the proper amount of air barrier material is installed evenly and consistently to specified thicknesses and cover all exposed areas. Also accountable for material usages so as not to exceed material estimates. Coordinate with other tradesmen or General Contractor representative to achieve each day's goals for production. Report to supervisor any delay's or obstructions that may impede goals. Install curtains (plastic or tarps) to prevent overspray of air barrier material. Mask off plumbing pipes, electrical conduit, HVAC lines, windows, doors, etc. to prevent overspray as required per job site. Installers will be crossed-trained in several departments to further their growth and provide them with more job opportunities. Departments that Installers may be crossed in may include: Spray Foam Bibs Batting Fireproofing Spray-applied Air Barrier Levelrock/Gypsum Concrete Underlayment Retro/Weatherization We require a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Construction or painting experience preferred to include, but not limited to fiberglass batting, spray foam, Bibs, blown-in, trim carpentry, drywall hanging, airless paint sprayer, or framing experience. Ability to use good judgement and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely at all times.
