ATLANTA — A home invader is in jail after he was shot breaking into a northwest Atlanta home, police said.
Around 11:15 p.m., police were called to a home on Dahlia Avenue on a burglary response, according to Atlanta Police reports. Officers arrived to the home to find a man with multiple gunshot wounds nearby.
Officers learned that the man, 36-year-old Tyrell Johnson, had forced his way into the home and attacked someone living there. Another person living there shot Johnson several times, then called police, authorities said.
