Description

We are seeking fun and friendly individuals from all walks of life to become virtual poker dealers. Our company hosts corporate team building games on our private poker site. NO ONE PLAYS FOR MONEY. These games are just team building parties the same way they do trivia or other activities. Companies that have remote workers host events that engage their employees and build camaraderie. Guests play on our site and can see their tablemates and dealer on Zoom. Your job as a dealer is to be a poker ambassador. Call the action of the game, help players learn poker and troubleshoot basic technical issues. You will be on Zoom interacting with the guests and your fellow dealers. Your observing the game on the site, not controlling it. Criteria for Virtual Dealers 1. Weekday/mid-day availability. Thursday afternoons mandatory. 2. Suitable computer, bandwidth and internet connection to run several programs as once. This is not a job that can be done on a phone. 3. Strong communication skills. Fluent English required, bi-lingual appreciated. 4. Ability to give step-by-step instructions to players to access the site and set up their account. 5. Must have a good working knowledge of poker, specifically Texas Hold’em. 6. Ability to work independently. Dealers run their own tables with minimal supervision. We have been in this space for 16 years but when the pandemic hit we moved to an online version of our games. Our dealers are employees. This is an above board job. You will be paid through a payroll service with appropriate taxes removed. Pay is $25 per hour and we book three hour shifts on a flexible schedule. Shifts are offered through an online staffing program and dealers are scheduled 7-10 days prior to the shift. Most jobs are weekdays in the afternoon but we do have clients overseas so we have had games at all hours. Dealers work an average of 2 shifts a week. This is a very part time job but we are growing and expect to continue to do so as companies worldwide settle into remote working. You need to have a solid computer set up with stable internet and a quiet workspace. We will provide a grey backdrop to be hung behind you and a uniform shirt. This requires a lot of bandwidth both internet wise and mentally. You have the game open on half your screen, Zoom on the other and are communicating with the dealing team on Signal. Our company is woman owned and we strongly encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. Visible tattoos, nontraditional hair color or style, trans, recovering, students, actors, all of the above? You’re practically family already. If you have the poker knowledge and a great personality (and internet speed) we’re ready to talk. Please fill out the Virtual Dealer Application on our site. We’re looking to get a new class started in the next 10 days. " By the way - we are also planning to hire dealers for our in-person games too. There is an application for that on the site as well. Thanks! www. The Poker People.com - Google us, we're pretty awesome.
