Have long thought about this. I'm a pro level guitar player and teacher. Lots of you probably know me.
Anyhow no offense if I didn't contact you directly just tired of being the one pushing.
I really miss playing some good back beat jams... I've always wanted a 3 or 4 piece that could play "jazz" gigs. For places that want a "jazz band" but doesn't want to hire the same old "real book" band. Thinking MMW/Scofield sort of thing.
I know how to play, I know how to communicate and know my theory.
NOT looking to do standards at all.... would prefer originals and can borrow some of the funky Sco tunes, Grant Green, etc.. but lots of groove and improv and listening.
I have a place to play thats super comfy.
Please have examples of your playing... essentially I'm hoping upon a rhythm section. ha... and to hit the lottery. Don't think another guitar would be great but potentially open. Keys, Guitar, bass, drums.. would be the optimal 4 piece.
I'd guess probably people close to Sonoma as I don't want it to be arduous. I do music full time for a living essentially and hope to get players at that level so its gotta be easy and fun. But I'd just like to be playing more.. I'd love to have some challenging music that takes real practice.. harmony lines.... hits etc... but I'm open to any groovy thing. :-)
Worth a try.
