RABBIT OWNERS

Description

Please spay or neuter before adopting out your rabbits. You are likely to have more success adopting the rabbit out and/or you might change your mind about getting rid of your rabbit after any issues have gone away from spaying/neutering. People are also willing to pay more for rehoming fees if the animal has already been fixed. I understand that it is extremely expensive, but these are responsibilities to think about when taking in a rabbit. It hurts my heart to see so many rabbits not be able to live in their first home as a forever home. If you need any help or guidance on how to afford the surgery or how to care for your rabbit, shoot me an email! Please! Bunnies are much less understood than many other pets and I am here to help advocate for them. I currently have 5 rabbits, 2 that I am fostering with the goal that I will find them perfect free-roaming homes. I have had success with other rabbits that I have taken in, used my own money to spay/neuter, and then adopted them out. I want to continue doing this for our community and eventually reach a point where I can begin a rabbit rescue in the Eugene area. This post was mainly meant to spread awareness, but to also reach out if anyone needs advice/help. I am not taking any rabbits currently, but I am happy to extend helpful resources for you + your bun(s) as I know it is extremely difficult right now to get them into shelters.
