Career Opportunity: Inventory Specialist – Matrix Systems – Dayton, OH Do you have experience monitoring and maintaining inventory levels in a warehouse/distribution setting? Do you excel at shipping and receiving? If so, we have the opportunity for you. Matrix Systems is an industry leader in access control and security management solutions. We are seeking an Inventory Specialist in Dayton, Ohio. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate receipt, movement, and shipment of all products in the warehouse. In addition, you will be responsible for: - Loading and unloading freight manually or with pallet jack - Receiving • Unpack, examine and verify quantity and quality of orders against packing slip • Document and communicate with purchasing all receiving exceptions including damage, shortages, and overages • Document receipt in ERP system • Stock received goods while maintaining warehouse and inventory integrity - Shipping • Pick orders ensuring all items produced and purchased are accounted for and securely packaged • Complete documentation for shipment including BOLs, packing slips, and customs forms/proforma invoices • Process shipments in ERP system and UPS Worldship/FedEx.com when required • Maintain proper shipping records and ensure all tracking numbers are recorded in ERP system • Provide shipping estimates as requested • Complete package intercept, change of address, and return authorization requests with shipping carriers • File claims for freight damage and negotiate closure of claims - Perform cycle counts and assist in reconciliation of inventory issues as they arise - Assign bin locations for new product or warehouse re-alignment To qualify for this great opportunity, you should have: • Past experience in warehouse or shipping/receiving environment is a plus. • High School Diploma or equivalent. • Extreme attention to detail, organized, and accurate with a strong ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness. • Successful completion of background check and ability to work 40 hours per week minimum.
