Seeking volunteer for the Boulder County office of Colorado Legal Services, located in Louisville. BCLS is a fun and laid-back group of only 4 staff and the occasional law student or intern. We are looking for someone to help with letter writing, conducting interviews, transcribing notes into our database, and other activities and projects, as needed.
This position is/will be primarily or totally remote with few (if any) in-office projects.
You do NOT need to be a paralegal or have legal experience, but that can be helpful.
Ideal candidate will:
Volunteer 20 hours per month/5 hours per week.
Attend weekly team meetings.
Read and write proficiently in English.
Have their own laptop/desktop and access to internet.
Be organized or have an organizational style that is sustainable.
If you speak languages other than English, that is helpful, but not required.
You will be trained on how to perform your tasks, and you will be provided near-immediate feedback on any projects. Some volunteer tasks have a set time commitment, like our weekly meetings, but other volunteer tasks do not have a set time commitment, like writing letters, which can be done any time that is convenient for you.
